QRWIGSBURG DROPS A CLOSE GAME TO CRESSONA 9-6

ORWIGSBURG - Ben Kramer hit a two-out grand slam to cap a five-run fifth inning as Cressona defeated Orwigsburg 9-6 for the second time in District 24 Little League 11-12-year-old Pool 2 play Saturday evening.
Hunter Luckenbill started things for Cressona with a two-run homer in the first inning.
Nate Nabholz added two hits, including an RBI single in the third inning on the offensive side of the ball for Cressona.
Brent Kaunas managed three of Orwigsburg's six hits. Kaunas added an RBI double as well. Mike DeHaven's two-run single in the bottom of the third inning gave Cressona a 4-3 edge.
Orwigsburg battled back with three runs in the fifth inning. Kaunas hit an RBI double, DeHaven followed with another RBI double before Nate Dixon followed with an RBI single for a 6-4 edge.
Cressona answered as Nabholz led off with a single. Bailey Reichert reached on an error before a fielder's choice gave Orwigsburg two outs. Dylan Reber singled and Rob Caretta was hit by a pitch to push a run across.
Kramer followed with his grand slam, and Nabholz struck out the side in the sixth to end the game.
